Surrounding Area

There are lots of beautiful walks right from the doorstep. We have direct access onto Catbells and the Allerdale Way from the cottage and the lake is a lovely stroll downhill through Manesty Woods.

The Borrowdale Valley and the majestic Honister Pass is just down the road and picturesque Grange in Borrowdale, with its famous double bridge, is about a mile away. Keswick (approx. 5 miles by road) caters for all your daily needs, you can also get there by the ferry from the jetty in Manesty Woods, below the cottage.
